In mid-1997, four members of various BHS Choruses in the Toronto Area were hungering to reach again the heights of achievement attained by the Scarborough Dukes of Harmony in the late 70s. They approached June Dale, Director of the 1997 International Sweet Adelines Champions, The North Metro Chorus, with the idea of directing a new male chorus. The mission of the chorus would be to be good enough to compete at the international level, through high standards, hard work, and a spirit of dedication. Satisfaction and pure enjoyment, they knew, would come naturally when the other factors were there. The idea intrigued June who was looking for a new challenge. |
