After the Saturday Show, the chorus hospitality suite was the place to be - great food & drink, and great singing!

Through the night (and into the wee hours of Sunday morning), many of Ontario's top quartets dropped into the MegaCity Hospitality suite.  They all congratulated the chorus on the performance, and entertained us with a variety of singing styles.  "Afterglows" allow us to hear a quartet "up close".  What a thrill to hear these guys!

Three quartets who entered the Quartet Competition have some (or all) members from the MegaCity Chorus:

Flat Out (Don)
Placed 7th and actually moved up one place with their Saturday performance!

Fire Hall Four (Harold)
Tied for 10th on Friday and as a Top Ten quartet, competed again in the Finals.

King's Highway, only their second time out, placed 14th.  (Gary, Phil, Ray & Bob)

Congratulations to all three quartets for a job well done.  Your efforts in quartetting also add to your enthusiasm and ability with the chorus!

A forth quartet, although not competing, did spend some time in the Afterglow circuit.   I know you will watch for (and support) these guys as they enter the Fall Contest!

Spectacle
(Bill, Lyle & Frank)

Through the night, we were entertained by a variety of styles, including a girls quartet and a mixed quartet.

RoadSide Distractions (Jonathan)

It's always a treat to listen to the top quartets in the district.

Some of those who dropped by include:

Terminal Barbershop (1st place in College Quartet Contest)

By Design (1st place)

Common Knowledge, 4

Pastime (3rd)

OK, here's a great octet with a wonderful sound!

As is the tradition, an Afterglow - informal singing - was held in each of several Hospitality suites hosted by some of the choruses. Here at the MegaCity Suite, you can see and hear a sampling of what happens from about midnight through 2 to 3 a.m.
