CHISHOLM TRAIL CHORUS OF SWEET ADELINES INTERNATIONAL Chisholm Trail Chorus of Sweet Adelines International is a women's a cappella chorus that presents jazz vocals, choreographed pop tunes and award-winning harmony to the community through weekly education classes and frequent performances throughout Central Texas. The chorus, directed by Carol Scherer, is comprised of Central Texas women from Temple, Belton, Troy, Waco, China Springs, Lott, Copperas Cove, Killeen, Harker Heights, Lampasas, Lometa, Bartlett, Rogers, Georgetown, Round Rock and Austin. We share our talents by performing in many places, such as: · Bloomin’ Temple Festival, 2009, 2008 & 2007 · Daughters of the Republic of Texas State Convention, May 2009 · Salado Christmas Stroll, every December · HEB "Feast of Sharing" community banquet, 2008, 2001 and 2000 · KNCT-local PBS affiliate “Wine Classic,” January 2009 · City of Temple’s Senior Citizens banquet, December 2007 & 2006 · City of Georgetown’s Market Days, 2006 · City of Moody’s 125th anniversary celebration, 2006 · Temple and Belton fire and police departments, holiday serenades, December 2005 · Belton's "Concert in the Park" series, October 2005 We honor our active duty military and veterans through performances

Award-winning music The chorus was founded in 1982 and competed regionally for the first time in 1983 in Dallas and won the Best Small Chorus award. Since then, we have placed 2nd overall (in 1992); 3rd (in 1990, 1991, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1998 and 2006); 4th (in 1986, 1988, 1994, 1996 and 2001); and 5th overall (in 1989, 2003 and 2005).
