Carol has been director of Chisholm Trail Chorus since 1997 and was the assistant director for 16 years prior to that. She became a certified Sweet Adeline Director in 1993. Carol has held numerous positions in the local chorus, including serving on the Music Staff and Board of Directors.
She serves on the Regional Teaching Staff for Region 10 and was Director's Coordinator for the Region 10 Management Team.
Carol also is the Director of Music Ministries at The First United Methodist Church in Belton, Texas, a position she has held for more than 14 years. She directs seven choirs: children and adult vocal, handbell and handchime. Prior to that she was assistant director of music and played the organ and piano at worship services. In addition, Carol teaches private voice lessons and is a quartet and chorus voice coach. She has an Associate Degree in Sacred Music from Perkins Theology School at Southern Methodist University. Carol also sings with Rich-Tone Chorus in Dallas.

Janet Brown, Assistant Director: Janet became Assistant Director for Chisholm Trail Chorus in 2004 and received her Sweet Adeline's International Director Certification credential in 2008. Janet has been a member of Chisholm Trail Chorus since 1999. In addition to her Assistant Director duties she is a Lead singer. She serves as Rising Star Rookie Coordinator, Costume Co-Chair, Show co-chair, Annual Retreat Chair, and serves on other various committees where needed. Since 2006 Janet has been conducting the Personal Vocal Improvement and Vocally Improving Performer programs, which offers free voice and performance skill lessons to all chorus members. Janet has prepared and presented various motivational, leadership development, and educational classes to the chorus ("Why Not Be Excellent?"), ("Too Hot to Handle") and Music Team ("Getting off Sometime Isle") , ("IGNITE –Discover the Leader in You").
In her spare time, Janet also sings with Rich-Tone Chorus in Dallas and in the First Methodist Belton Church Choir. Janet has also sung in numerous quartets that have competed on the Regional Stage – consistently placing in the top 10 in this event and has earned a 2nd place award in 2005. For relaxation she loves travel, gardening, reading, keeping track of her parents, and planning her husband’s daily schedule since his retirement.
