VOH intends to become the Premier Male A Cappella Ensemble in the
province of British Columbia.
Our Director is an international champion, our music team is the
current top ranked quartet in the Evergreen District of the BHS society, and
our leadership is prepared for growth.
All we need now to succeed is you!
Our members come from all over the lower mainland, so chances are

AUDITIONS:
Week 1.
1. sing a
song in a quartet with the music team (contact us for a list of suitable songs)
2. receive
a voice placement with the director
3. music
team forwards a recommendation for membership to the chapter
Week 2.
4. the
successful auditionee completes a membership application
5. pays
all related society, district and chapter fees
6. receives
access via email to learning resources
Sometime after Week 3...
7. is
issued his chorus name tag as soon as practically possible

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
For each song sung in public,
qualifying is as follows:
1. Submit a
recording taken ‘on the risers’ during a regular rehearsal to the music
team. There are to be no more than 3
performance errors on the recording.
2. Singers
are expected to execute correct notes, rhythms, and words, as well as deliver
the creative plan, and sing with the vocal quality requested by the director.
3. To be
eligible to purchase a chorus shirt, a member must audition successfully, and submit
a recording to the music team of the current contest songs to performance
standard
