Washington High School in a little town called Parkland (right next
to Tacoma) where he is in charge of their nationally recognized jazz
band, concert bands, and marching band, choirs, and musical theater
group. Last year Don started "Steel and Stix," one of twenty steel
drum bands in the United States. Don is honored to have been named
outstanding music teacher for the year for 2004 at the Music

through out the United States, with invitations including Carnegie

Don is also active in coaching and arranging for men and women in barbershop, as well as director of the Young Men in Harmony Camp in Montana during the summer. Don has two wonderful kids named Jack and Sarah, and a really nice girl friend named Amy. Don lives at Salmon Beach in Tacoma, where you can find him every night on the end of the dock hoping the bite will pick up, and he promises to finish up that arrangement...one more cast!
