2005 Evergreen District Convention

COMPETITION THEATRE -
Jubilee Auditorium:
In the 1950's, to celebrate the 50th (Jubilee) Anniversary of the Province of Alberta, matching auditoriums were constructed in Calgary and Edmonton to provide a venue for performing arts. These 2700 seat auditoriums have been used by symphonies, operas, popular artists, and barbershop choruses for the last 50 years to stage performances.
To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Province, the auditoriums are being renovated and updated to meet current performance requirements. The official re-opening for the Jubilee Auditorium will be September 1, 2005 and the Evergreen District Convention in 2005 will be one of the first events to make use of the newly renovated theatre.
