Our chorus is fortunate to have two directors with
close to 50 years of barbershop experience between them. They lead by example showing the love and fellowship found while singing in the chorus and
quartets of the First Capital Barbershop Chorus.

The past year has been one of
growth, not only in membership, but also in musical knowledge. We have recently completed a six-week
music education program for our entire chorus, which entailed forty-five minutes each night of training in various aspects of Barbershop. We had set a goal of
being the most improved chorus in Division 1, and partly as a result of this music education program, were able to achieve our goal!
We are continuing to increase our membership, and are looking forward to another year with even higher goals. We are looking forward to learning some
very exciting new music.
As always, we welcome your visit to our chapter's Thursday night meetings. If you want more music in your life we just may be able to help! Hope to see
you soon!

I am proud of the Langley
Chorus, which has grown steadily each year to now boast 70 members. Men are attracted to our group because of our approach to singing and our willingness to share our joy and
knowledge with the ordinary singer. Our music program is varied to allow a good balance between getting ready for two or three shows each year, attending contests, and promoting
quartet activities.
A goal of the directors and music team is to improve our level of singing by encouraging development of the individual singer.
Our repertoire is large and reflects the diversity of this chorus, and includes war songs from the 40s, doo-wop sounds of the 50s and good old barbershop standards.
Come out any Thursday night and experience a great time with some great guys.
Danny
